You can now watch movies (and TV episodes) instantly with a Blu-ray player and Netflix. The information is streamed over the Internet to your TV via a Netflix ready device.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet connection
  • Netflix-ready Blu-ray Player
  • Netflix unlimited plan (subscription)
  • TV
  1. Step 1

Review the information below. You may already have some of the required items.

  2. Step 2

Subscribe to a high speed internet plan.

  3. Step 3

Purchase a Netflix ready Blu-ray player: LG BD300, Samsung BD-P2500 or Samsung BD-P2550. If you are unsure you are getting one that is compatible, ask a salesperson for verification.

  4. Step 4

Subscribe to one of Netflix's unlimited plans. Currently, the cheapest plan is $8.99/month (plus $1/month for Blu-ray formatted movies). It includes exchanging 1 DVD or Blu-ray disc at a time via mail.

  5. Step 5

For the best quality picture and sound, be sure to have a HDMI connector, a high definition TV and a surround sound stereo system. Attach one end of the connector to the TV and the other to the Blu-ray player.

  6. Step 6

Connect the Blu-ray player to the internet. Follow the instructions to select the movies or TV shows you want to watch.

  7. Step 7

Sit back, relax and enjoy the show!

Tips & Warnings
  • If you don't already have a Netflix account, don't sign up until you purchase a Blu-ray player. They have a free trial membership, which you can cancel and return the player if you are unsatisfied with the results.
