An All Occasion Tree is just that. A tree for any and all occasions. They are great for displays in stores as well. The best part is that you no longer just have to look at them in the major department stores. You can make one for yourself and save a lot of money in the process. You can decorate them with anything to brighten your home.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tree limb or branch with no leaves. I reccommend about 2" in diameter for the stump. The winter is the best time to get one for this.
  • White spray paint.
  • Plaster of paris
  • pot
  • spanish moss
  • white Christmas lights
  1. Step 1

Find a limb or branch or even a small sapling that will look nice and full once it is placed in a pot.
    Cut the limb.

  2. Step 2

Mix your plaster of paris and pour into your pot.

  3. Step 3

Center you tree and stick in the middle of the plaster and let harden.
Now your tree is secure and ready to paint.

  4. Step 4

Shake your paint can well. Spray an even coat over entire tree to make sure it is covered completly. Let dry.

  5. Step 5

Once your tree is dried, start wrapping your lights around the tree at the bottom. This will make it easier to plug in when you are finished.

  6. Step 6

When you have put the lights on all the tree you can decorate or just leave it as is. Put it wherever you want to brighten up your home.
    These also work great outside.

Tips & Warnings
  • I use enamel paint as it stays on better.
  • Make sure to spray these in a well ventilated area or outside. There is a lot of overspray.
