Things You'll Need:
- Crescent Wrench
- Water Supply Lines
- Teflon Tape
- Expansion Valve

Step 1
Drain and Remove old water heater. If it is a gas water heater ensure to turn of gas supply to the old system. If electric de-energizer the power to the control box. Also shut off the water to the water heater.

Step 2
All water heaters come with a expansion valve to relieve pressure from the vessel. Ensure to install this on the top of the water heater to prevent the vessel from exploding. Find your water supply lines and install them to there corresponding fixture on the vessel. Hook up the hot water discharge line.

Step 3
after connecting the water supply lines connect the electrical components if it is electric and if gas connect the gas lines. open the cold water line and fill the vessel. While the vessel fills open the expansion valve by lifting up on the tab to prevent pressure build up.

Step 4
if you have a gas operated heater there should be a pilot light that can be light from the controls on the vessel. The instructions are on the back of the plate. If electric all that needs to be done is to energize the circuit and wait for the fire.
