Tired of making resolutions only to constantly fail time and time again? I will teach you how to make realistic resolutions and stick to them with success.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • discipline
  • A resolution
  • pen
  • paper
  • support team
  • positive outlook
  1. Step 1

    Decide on one resolution. Too many allow for you to fail. pick one and you are able to stick to andyou will be successful. Eg: stop smoking... You cannot add others to this due to it being a hard one to keep.

  2. Step 2

    Give yourself a reasonable time frame to complete your resolution.. Remember you have the whole year. Sometimes cold turkey is a recipe for disaster. Remember you didnt gain weight overnight nor did you start smoking in one day.

  3. Step 3

    let friends and family in on what you are doing and ask for their support. remember the saying "it takes a village". You need your support team to help you.

  4. Step 4

    I cant, I wont be able to, cannot be apart of your vocabulary. You must be positive and put good vibes into your environment to allow for the success of anything you do.

  5. Step 5

    I will, I can.... These must become your daily affirmations. failure is not a thought that you will nurture during this new phase in your life.

  6. Step 6

    Write a list of the positive things that can happen if you stick to this resolution. eg:if i lose weight i can buy new clothes,wear my bikini ect. Or if i stop smoking i can open a savings acct.I Dont have to go outside in the cold to smoke and ect.

  7. Step 7

    Last but not least feel good about what you have decided to do.. Everyday that you decide to live healhier is another step to a longer better life.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you fail or fall off the wagon just brush yourself off and start again...
  • Speak your success everyday(I will stop smoking,I am going to lose weight.)
  • dont listen to negativity from others. (it only breeds failure).
  • If you are trying to kick a drug or alchohol habit please seek professional help and suppport groups
