How to Make Quick Cash on Ebay
Many people consider eBay to be a prime destination when they're looking for a good deal on the items they want to buy, but it can also be a great way to make a little extra money when you need it. While it's unlikely that you're going to become rich overnight, selling things that you no longer need or use can help you to get the extra money that you need right away.

1
Create a Seller's Account. This can be done by clicking the "Sell" button on the menu at the top of the screen. You will be taken to the Seller's page, which features a button that reads "Start Selling." Clicking on this button will let you sign into your eBay account and then walk you through the creation of your Seller's Account. It should be noted that you will need to supply credit card or PayPal information to set up a means to pay your seller's fees.

2
Click the "Sell An Item" button once you have a Seller's Account. This will take you to the item sales template, which will walk you through the steps of listing an item for auction. You will select the category and sub-categories that best fit the item that you're going to sell, then write a description of the item (making sure that it is as descriptive as possible, giving all needed information about the item while doing your best to make it sound enticing.)
After you write a description you will have the opportunity to upload pictures (which you should, if at all possible; the first picture is free, and a clear picture of the item will greatly increase your chances of getting bids) as well as selecting options for your listing such as having your picture show up in the gallery and having your headline appear in boldface or with a color highlight. Each option and each photo beyond the first will cost you a bit extra, but by choosing a bold headline and having at least one photo you can help others notice your listing while keeping the listing price low. -

Set your minimum bid amount, "Buy It Now" price and any reserve that you wish to have on the auction. The minimum bid should be low enough to encourage bidding while not being so low that you won't be happy if the item sells for that amount. Buy It Now pricing should be higher than the minimum bid (at around the amount that you'd like to get for the item), and while Buy It Now is optional you should always choose it unless the items that you're listing are expected to go for very small amounts. If you're looking to make money fast, avoid placing a reserve on your items since any bids below the reserve won't be counted if the reserve price isn't met (meaning that the item will be listed as unsold

4
Choose the number of days that your item should remain up for auction. When trying to make quick cash, it's recommended that you select the "three days" option. This will give your listing enough time to be noticed by a large number of eBay searchers while keeping you from having to wait a long time for the auction to end.
-
5
Make sure that you review your listing before you finalize it; eBay will give you a summary screen so that you can re-read everything that you've written and see exactly how much your current listing options will cost. You can go back and edit your listing after you post it, but depending on how long remains until the listing ends or how many bids there are you might find yourself with additional fees charged.
-
6
If you're selling multiple items, take advantage of eBay's "Sell Similar Items" option once you've finished posting your listing. This will let you edit a new listing that is set up just like the previous one, saving you time and letting you keep all of the options that you selected before.
-
7
Keep an eye on your listings, especially if any bidders have asked you questions about one or more of your items. Respond as quickly as possible to these questions, since this will give the bidders time to read your answers and decide if they want to bid. The more bidders you have, the faster the price of your auctions will rise.
-
8
Charge a reasonable amount for shipping and packaging; not only will this encourage people to bid on your auctions, but it will also keep you from getting in trouble with eBay. You should ship your packages as soon as possible once you receive payments via PayPal or other means so that you will get positive feedback from buyers. The more positive feedback you get, the more likely people will be to buy from you in the future.

Tips & Warnings
Occasionally you'll be able to find really good deals on items that are for sale on eBay; buy them using Buy It Now if they're significantly less than the same items being sold by other sellers, then list the item yourself at a marked-up price.
Don't forget to set aside some of the money that you get from your eBay sales to pay the eBay fees that you accumulate. You'll be invoiced monthly for these fees, and if they aren't paid then your eBay account will be suspended until you pay.
