Things You'll Need:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 cans chili beans (mild or hot)
- 1 can petite diced tomatoes
- 1-2 packs of chili seasoning (mild or hot)
- Diced onion (optional)
- Big pot
-
Step 1
Brown ground beef in pot. If you are going to add onions, add those now and let them cook while browning the ground beef. Drain ground beef after browning and return to the pot.
-
Step 2
Homemade Chili IngredientsAdd 2 cans of chili beans, 1 can of petite diced tomatoes, 1 to 2 packs of chili seasoning, and 1 can of water.
-
Step 3
Bring to a gentle simmer. Stirring occasionally to keep chili from sticking.
-
Step 4
After the chili has simmered for about 15 minutes, turn the heat down to medium low and let simmer for about 45 to 1 hour, or until the flavors have "meshed" together, stirring occasionally.
-
Step 5
Serve and enjoy!!!
