When you have more than one explorer page open and you close one page and it closes all of the pages and leaves you a error message, follow these steps

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Print this page first, because you will have to close all the pages you are viewing before completing the following steps. Click on the START MENU, then RUN. A dialog box will open up with a place to type.

  2. Step 2

In the dialog box, type in inetcpl.cpl, then enter. This will open up the internet explorer options box. In this box there are a couple of tabs at the top, General, Security, Privacy, Content, Connections, Programs, and Advanced.

  3. Step 3

Click on the advanced tab, then click the button that says reset. This will reset all internet explorer options like add ons and toolbars. I hope this fixes your problems, feel free to leave a comment to let me know if this helped you or not.

Tips & Warnings
  • The first thing you need to do is print this page because you will have to close the internet browser before completing the following steps.
  • You will lose all of your toolbars and bookmarks so you might want to save the ones you want to keep. But most of the time the toolbars cause problems on the browser. You can write down the websites that you have bookmarked and add them back after you fix the problems. You can also go to your tools menu on the webpage, and click on add ons and turn off add ons. then add them back one at a time to see which one is causing the problem.
