Periodontal disease is one of the leading causes of the loss of teeth. Periodontal disease is a chronic infection that affects the gums and bone which support the teeth. Keeping a daily regiment of oral hygiene can prevent periodontal disease

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Grapefruit seed extract:
    A great way to treat periodontal disease is to use grapefruit seed extract. At the first sign of bleeding gums, use a drop or two drops of are grapefruit seed extract on dental floss and clean gums. It will kill bacteria and healed inflamed gums.

  2. Step 2

    Milk of Magnesia:
    Use milk of magnesia as a mouthwash, using a tablespoon of milk of magnesia is mixed in 1/2 glass of water and gargle. This can prevent periodontal disease from getting worse. Components in milk of magnesia kill pathogenic bacteria that causes periodontal disease.

  3. Step 3

    Take vitamins:
    Vitamins help nourish and strengthen teeth and gums, to help prevent periodontal disease. Vitamin B complex and the vitamin K, are good for gum health. Take twice a week for a few weeks and then take once a week for maintenance to prevent periodontal disease.

  4. Step 4

    Good oral hygiene:
    Regular brushing and flossing, will almost assure that you can prevent periodontal disease. Brush and floss three times a day.
