Look for web sites from companies that are in the beauty business to find free makeovers online. Check for web sites from beauty and fashion magazines, cosmetic companies, hair care product makers, etc.

Ask your hairdresser or salon employees if they know of any web sites that offer free online makeovers. It is likely they know of them or have heard about them from other customers. Take note of the hairstyle magazines that may be in the salon, and see if they have web sites you can search as well.

Look for online forums or discussion groups with beauty related topics. Here you can ask others if they know of any free programs, or you may find others who are already offering that information.

Do a basic online search using the terms "free makeover online", "free virtual makeover using photo", "free hairstyles online" etc. (Most programs allow you to upload your own photo, so you don't necessarily need to include this in your search, but you can if you like.)

Note that most of the web sites require you to register in order to use their free makeover programs. You can always sign up using a free email address if you're worried about receiving lots of junk mail.
