Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Listed below are the only four foods known to help raise good HDL cholesterol. There are other things that you can do to help, such as daily exercise, eating healthy (lots of fruits and veggies, especially garlic) and having a positive mental outlook. If you want to raise your good cholesterol, you should start focusing on these good cholesterol sources today.

  2. Step 2

FISH - Eat fish as least three times per week. Eating fish, especially wild caught salmon can help raise your good cholesterol levels. Fish are loaded with essential oils, such as Omega 3's, that are hard to find anywhere else. Eat fish at least 3 times a week. The best fish to raise your good cholesterol levels are wild caught salmon, mackerel, and sardines. Farm raised salmon is not the same as wild caught salmon. Farmed raised salmon does not have the level of Omega 3's that you need, plus they have coloring and other additives such as antibiotics that you do not want to consume.

  3. Step 3

OLIVE OIL - Eat fresh extra virgin olive oil regularly. Even though it is an oil, it is still very good for you in small portions. The olive oil should be fresh and uncooked. Try extra virgin for the best taste. Olive oil can increase your good cholesterol. Extra virgin means the gentle first pressing of the olives. It is the healthiest and most flavorful of all olive oils. Now you know how to raise your good HDL cholesterol.

  4. Step 4

ALMONDS - Eat some almonds every day. A small amount of almonds per day can help raise your good HDL cholesterol. It is best to eat unprocessed almonds with no salt or flavoring. Look for good cholesterol foods such as raw almonds at your local health food store. There should not be any other ingredients on the package other than almonds.

  5. Step 5

AVOCADOS - Eat avocados as often as possible. Possibly the best food available for your body, avocados also help raise your good HDL cholesterol. Eat fresh, uncooked avocados for the best health benefits.
