Me And My Anger Issues

Everyone gets angry. It's proven time and time again. However there are ways to get around loud expressions of anger and any display of anger period. It's definitely not an easy journey but managing your anger is definitely worth it.

Difficulty: Challenging

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Be Humble. Realize that everyone has the tendency to want to be right, or at least have the last word. Once you've come to this realization convince yourself it does not have to be this way for yourself.

  2. Step 2

Excessive. Everyone says walking off anger is a good technique. What's even better is running. So when someone tells you to go walk it off tell them NO WAY. You say you'll run it off. Try punching a punching bag instead of faces and walls. This is a good way to manage anger and convert it to beneficiary activities. If your in shape your much happier about yourself and less susceptible to anger.

  3. Step 3

Read. Reading books, articles, and such are good ways to inform yourself of the causes and cures of anger.

  4. Step 4

Be your own personal anger management. Set up some sort of punishment to yourself for times when you lose your temper.

  5. Step 5

Accountability Partner. Find someone you trust that is willing to get your butt in gear into improving your anger management skills. Accountability partners are a great tool in thinking of ways of punishing yourself when failing to meet a tranquil resolution to things.

Tips & Warnings
  • Read Marcus Aurelius' book Meditations. It is one of the BEST anger management tools I have ever read.
  • Don't punch your accountability partner. You will likely need him or her.
