Here's how to make deep fried turkey strips at home.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use fresh or thawed turkey breast for this recipe. Cut the turkey breast into thin strips, about one inch wide and two to three inches long. Don't forget to wash your hands between step, as you're handling raw poultry.

  2. Step 2

Heat enough vegetable oil in a deep pot to cover your turkey strips. The oil should bubble when you drop in a drop of water.

  3. Step 3

Completely coat the turkey strips in batter. For the batter, mix together flour, milk, salt, and lemon pepper into a pancake-mix like batter. Please don't ask for exact measurements, I have no idea, I usually just use trial and error. I use a lot of lemon pepper, and these taste really awesome.

  4. Step 4

Deep fry the battered turkey strips until they're golden brown, and drain on a towel, or use paper towels. They will be hot, let them cool down before you eat.

Tips & Warnings
  • Oil is hot. Don't burn yourself, or let little people or pets near the stove while you're cooking. That's what baby gates are made for.
