Step 1
Define a marketing niche. Without a niche, it's hard to truly define your target market. When you have a target market and niche, you can more easily adapt your products and services to your audience. Remember, your goal is to connect with consumers you KNOW, who will, in turn, come to know YOU, and begin to trust the brand that you establish.

Find out what that market wants. Run polls and surveys, get feedback on blogs or by email and phone, run contests, and find out what it is your prospects need from you. Determine 5 or more main issues of concern that you can address for your prospects.

Give them what they want. What were the main concerns your potential customers had? How can you address their issues? Lay out a plan, and implement it.
