Things You'll Need:
- leftover eggnog
- flour
- eggs
- milk
- baking powder
- melted butter (or oil)
- (don't add sugar!)
- griddle
-
Step 1
Leftover EggnogMake your usual pancake recipe, only substitute eggnog for the milk. If you are using plain eggnog, be sure to add some nutmeg and cinnamon to the pancake batter!
-
Step 2
The batter will be a bit thicker than normal, so add a little milk until it is the texture you like. If the batter is thick, the pancakes will be thick. If it is thin, you will have thin pancakes. Thin is probably best, because these brown quickly.
-
Step 3
Make your pancakes as usual. Be aware that they may be darker than usual because of the sugar in the eggnog.
-
Step 4
Serve with syrup or fresh fruit compote and watch your family enjoy this unusual yet somehow familiar breakfast!
