What is Spiritual Warfare? I’m so glad you asked! Can you recall a time when you were consistently riddled by proverbial bullets of defeat. It is an unprovoked, cataclysmic sequence of events that leave you bewildered, discontent, and physically and mentally exhausted. These are times when your children are going astray, your marriage seems to be strained, friends withdraw from you, you receive a lay-off notice from your employer, an eviction notice soon follows and lastly, you receive a diagnosis of a genetic illness and the prognosis is grim. At this point all you can muster up to say is: What is really going on here? Something is just not right!

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bible
  • active prayer life
  • Endurance
  1. Step 1

First, you must be submitted to the will of the Lord before you can even begin to deal with spiritual warfare-James 4:7 says-Submit yourself therefore unto God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. You must be able to grasp that the series of events were sent to make you build faith and/or lose hope. You don't feel the power you know in your heart that you already possess it, and have the resolve to respond instead of react to the situation.

  2. Step 2

Your strength lies in your will to survive! The reality is that all chaos has been unleashed into your life, but in actuality God will never leave you. If you choose it, the Joy of the Lord can be your strength.

  3. Step 3

Fight with consistent focused individual prayer, or group prayer, or singing songs of victory,praise-reflects what he has done for you, worship-reflects what God means to you, and studying scriptures on fighting skillfully (Psalms 144). Surround yourself with water walkers: those who have gone through insurmountable odds and survived.

  4. Step 4

While you are applying steps 1-3 try and stay away from self-accusations and self-blame. These thoughts will arise frequently to cause distractions, weakening your spiritual defenses.

  5. Step 5

Re-route all doom and gloom talkers, delete and dispose of their negative comments. This can be difficult, but necessary when attempting to deal with a diabolical set-back.

  6. Step 6

Speak daily (Decree & Declare)scriptures aloud when discouragement, doubt and unbelief creep in. Say no to thoughts that don’t line up with a successful outcome, and plead the Blood of Jesus over your mind.

  7. Step 7

As your faith increases think regularly on past victories. Post pictures of successful triumps and positive affirmations in common areas in your home. Speak what you desire the outcome to be no matter what continues to occur. I am blessed, I walk in the favor of God and man, no weapon formed aganist me shall prosper, I am healed and spirit filled sickness and disease are far from me, I attract finances, and blessings are running me down and overtaking me now....... The list goes on!!

Tips & Warnings
  • Be selective with whom you share your problems with, everyone doesn't have your best interest at heart.
  • Stay focused and committed to the applications even when you don't feel like it!
  • Satan is counting on your inconsistency in using the aforementioned weapons. This is how we are repeatedly defeated. Pray to God for an awareness of satanic attacks, that will come through strongholds (Incorrect Thinking Patterns) in your life. These are the things that have led to your past failure in one area or another.
