Leftover Sugar Cookies

What do you do with all the cookies that you inevitably have left over after the holidays or work functions? If you're tired of eating straight-up cookies, try doing something different with them. Here are some ways you can jazz up leftover sugar cookies or any other kind!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Make a parfait with your leftover sugar cookies. Your family will love this one because it looks so fancy! The good thing is how easy it is. All you need is the leftover cookies, a package of instant pudding in your favorite flavor, and some whipped cream or cool whip. Sprinkles are nice too, if you have them.

  2. Step 2

Crush the leftover sugar cookies by putting them in a Ziplock freezer bag and letting the kids mash them. Or you can roll a rolling pin over them.

  3. Step 3

Make the pudding. Of course, it doesn't have to be instant, but if you're tired of cooking, perhaps it does.

Get out some parfait or wine glasses. Layer the pudding, cookies and whipped topping in that order. If you chose a contrasting color of pudding, it will be a very striking dessert.

  5. Step 5

Add some sprinkles to the top. Serve with flair. Throw any remaining cookies in the trash before they find their way to your hips.

Tips & Warnings
  • This dessert could be fairly low cal if you mix your leftover sugar cookies with low-fat pudding and low-fat whipped topping.
  • Be bad and soak the cookies in Grand Marnier if you really want to get fancy.
  • Try different permutations of this dessert. Different flavors of cookies, pudding, you get the drift.
