How to Care for an Emperor Scorpion

Emperor Scorpions make great pets because , they are low cost , low maintenance and they have weak venom .
In this article , you will find out how to set up an enclosure for the scorpion and how to care for it .

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • An emperor scorpion
  • 10 gallon tank with a secure lid
  • About a gallon or two of pesticide-free soil
  • A water sprayer
  1. Step 1

    First , you have to empy out the soils until it reaches about half-way when it is FLUFFED UP . Then you can just flatten it down with your palm or fist . It should be firm so that te emperor scorpion can make burrows without being buried alive .

  2. Step 2

    Then , wet the soil with about ten or fifteen sprays from the water sprayer . Emperor scorpions need high humidity .

  3. Step 3

    Then put your hide wherever you like and then introduce your scorpion .

  4. Step 4

    Every week , give it about 3 crickets , it doesn't need to eat a lot .
    Also , don't let the soil get dry or your scorpion might die . Always make sure that the soil is damp but not wet .

  5. Step 5

    Lastly , move your scorpion tank to a warm spot . Emperor scorpions come from forests in Togo or Ghana which is in Africa .
