It's a great refresher drink. Especially on a hot day. This Sweet iced tea is homemade iced tea without the need of powdered iced tea. Tea with a homemade touch. oh oh so simple and very easy.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2-4 Brisk Tea Bags or Orange Pekoe Tea Bags
  • Ice cubes
  • water
  • sugar
  • lemon wedges(optional)
  • lemon(optional)
  • mint leaves(optional)
  1. Step 1

    Bring eight cups of water to a boil. Turn off the heat.

  2. Step 2

    Add in 2 Tea bags. Let it set in for 2-3 minutes.Remove the tea bags.

  3. Step 3

    Wait for the tea water to cool. Set it in the fridge for 10-30 minutes or let it sit out at room temperature until it is cool enough.

  4. Step 4

    Pour the cooled tea in a pitcher enough for the 8 cups of water.

  5. Step 5

    Add 4-5 tablespoons of sugar. Sweetened to your choice. Optional: add mint leaves for a minty touch and/or squeeze a lemon.
    Stir in until the sugar dissolves. Test taste periodically for any adjustments.

  6. Step 6

    Serve into a glass with a lot of ice and a lemon wedge. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Add more sugar to make it sweeter, add less tablespoons to make it simple
  • using different kinds of tea bags will give it a different taste
