How to Make Olive Oil Soap

Olive oil is an ancient remedy for dry skin. It has hydrating properties that make it an ideal ingredient for skin and hair care. Honey is also a treat for dry skin. The recipe below, combines both olive oil and honey for a liquid soap recipe that is unbeatable in dry weather.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    In a soap dispenser or reused bottle, combine 1 Tablespoon liquid castile soap, 1/4 Cup of honey, 1/4 Cup of water, and 1/4 Cup of olive oil. You may add a few drops of essential oils if desired for fragrance. Essential lavender oil works well for homemade soaps.

  2. Step 2

    Roll the bottle from side to side to mix well. Ensure the ingredients are well combined.

  3. Step 3

    Use the olive oil soap when dry skin is a problem. This soap makes an excellent hand soap during winter months and will comfort rough elbows and heels any time of the year.
