How to Play Scavenger Hunt

Playing scavenger hunt is really fun for adults and kids! We play the hunt in the house on cold or rainy days. Here is how we play it.

1. 

   Making the clue cards to play. I use a note card to make a clue card. Write an age appropriate clue for the little scavenger to hunt or the big scavenger to hunt. If you have more than one scavenger who is going to play write the persons name on the clue card to prevent confusion and allow each player to follow their own path to hunt.

2. 

   I work backwards from the prize and create clue cards to play. First hide the last prize, then write a clue card to find it. If there is more than one prize, I hide a prize with every other card when we play.

3. 

   Next hide the first card and then write a clue to find that card. You can write and hide as many cards as you want for the game. It is a good way to do it because you only have to hide one clue at a time and do not have to remember where they all are. This is a good rainy day game.
