Does this sound familiar? You get a couple of pimples, so you put acne cream on them. The cream dries out your pimples - and also the skin around them, which becomes itchy and starts flaking. So you start moisturizing your skin to get rid of the flakes...and you get pimples! ARGH!!!!! Skin problems can be maddening, particularly when the steps you take to treat one symptom cause another, equally irritating one to occur. Stop the cycle and heal your skin with this easy, age-old treatment.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Small hand towel
  • Agg-Tval Swedish soap
  • Water
  • Face moisturizer
  1. Step 1

Agg-Tval is a Swedish egg white-based soap sold in numerous soap and perfume shops. It is also easily purchased online - so go get some today! One bar costs between $3.50 and $5 and lasts approximately one month, even if you use it every day. Call local soap carriers and boutiques to see if they carry it, or go online to nextag.com to do a comparison shop of all the online stores that carry it. You should receive your soap in less than a week.

  2. Step 2

Once you have your Swedish soap in hand, lather up with it and gently wash your face to remove all makeup, sweat, dirt, etc.

  3. Step 3

Rinse all traces of the soap off your face, and pat dry with a clean hand towel.

  4. Step 4

Wet your face again - making sure it's just damp and not dripping. Lather up your Swedish soap a second time and apply the soap on to your face like you would a face mask, taking care to avoid the eye area.

  5. Step 5

Leave the soap on your face for about 5-10 minutes, or until it feels dry. This step may burn a little if your skin is very dry, but stick with it for fantastic results! (See second warning for details). The egg whites in the soap are helping to pull the toxins out of your skin, while the lanolin is adding moisture.

  6. Step 6

Once your mask feels dry, rinse your face with cool water, making sure to get rid of all the soap. When your face feels clean, not soapy, you're done!

  7. Step 7

Pat your face dry with a towel and add some moisturizer to your skin. Repeat steps 2-6 daily ... You should notice a major difference in your acne and dry skin areas as well as a rosy glow within just a few days.

Tips & Warnings
  • This miracle soap smells faintly of roses and is as good at getting rid of dry winter skin as it is at knocking out stubborn acne on sensitive skin. It's become a staple with my whole family!
  • Always use a clean hand towel to dry your face! Bacteria can grow on dirty towels and then spread to your face when you dry it, and bacteria cause ... you guessed it - pimples!
  • A mild burning sensation is normal and means the soap is working. A very painful burning sensation may signify an allergic reaction. Wash the soap off immediately with cool water.
