Things You'll Need:
- Photo Shop or Photo Shop Elements
- a Color Photo
-
Step 1
Color PhotoOpen your color photo in Photo Shop Elements. This can be most any color photo and in some cases logos and other graphic images will work in this command.
-
Step 2
Image/Mode/Grayscale command in Photo Shop ElementsSelect Image_Mode_Grayscale
-
Step 3
Select OK in the pop-up dialog box and your image turns to black and white. If you do not like the results, use the Edit/Step backward or undo command.
-
Step 4
From Color Photo to B/W in Photo SHop ElementsYou can "fix" your new black white image using the Enhance pull-down, Adjust Brightness/Contrast. Adjust the sliders to the quality you want, or use the White and Black eye droppers by clicking on the brightest spot in the image and the darkest spot. If you do not like the results cancel the command. Some people really like the vintage look of b/w photos and this is an easy way to accomplish the task.
