Draw Boxing Gloves

Boxing gloves are a simple object to draw, but without reference or much fighting or boxing experience, you may not know how they are constructed. Starting with simple shapes to help your mind understand how they are put together and what the forms look like will help tremendously when it comes to drawing boxing gloves. Once you have the hang of it, it will become extremely easy to draw them by memory.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pencil
  • Paper
  1. Step 1

Start with your basic shapes. Visualizing the basic shapes will be easier for your mind to figure out as you are drawing.

  2. Step 2

Put together the two main basic shapes for the largest mass of the glove. This is somewhat like a light bulb, but will have a flatter top in the end.

  3. Step 3

Add the thumb shape to the side in a curved fashion. Also round out the bottom and add the stitch line. Flatten the top a little bit to make it look less like a light bulb and more like a boxing glove.

  4. Step 4

Add the finishing touches. Add the stitch lines at the bottom in a dash line. Draw folds at the joining of the thumb and at the outer end of the glove. Perfect your lines and erase any excess.

Tips & Warnings
  • The best kind of reference for a drawing of an object like this is to have the object in front of you so that you can draw it from any angle.
