Things You'll Need:
- Diary, journal or medium spiral notebook
- Pen
- Visions and goals
- Perseverance
-
Step 1
Be quiet and thinkOn New Year's Eve or before, find some quiet time to reflect and think about what your visions and goals could be for the next year. Out with the old and in with the new, as they say.
-
Step 2
Write them downTake time to write these visions and goals down in the front pages of your diary, journal or spiral notebook. You could even enter your daily recordings on the computer. Write down steps to make your visions and goals happen. Each day, if possible, write down something that helped you get a day closer to seeing your visions and goals become a reality.
-
Step 3
Make goals within your graspMake your goals attainable and keep them within your grasp. This will give you incentive to continue your journey to fulfilling that goal. Knowing that your visions and goals are attainable makes them even enjoyable as your see your progress toward your success.
-
Step 4
Keep your eyes on yoru progressBe mindful that at times you may feel as though you have messed up or had a relapse when working toward your goal. Just pick yourself up and focus on the positive and remember the visions and goals set before you. Concentrate on the outcome and fulfillment of what you have written down to accomplish during the new year. One reason you write them down is to be able to keep your vision before you. Keep records of your progress. This will help keep you motivated during any tough times.
-
Step 5
Your goalsYour vision or goal could be to take a relationship to a deeper level and get married or buy a new house. You may have a vision and set a goal to begin a family or adopt a child.
-
Step 6
Your visionsYou may have visions and goals to deepen your spiritual walk with God, or to obtain a healthier lifestyle to include exercise along with a better diet. You may have a goal to land a better job or buy a new car.
-
Step 7
A happier New Year's DayThere are so many visions and goals out there to chose from, so you may only want to begin with one or two that you can concentrate on during this next year. Don't forget to reward yourself when you reach a particular goal or when you have achieved that vision which you wrote down on last year's New Year's Eve. When New Year's Day comes around next year, it will be an even happier New Year's Day when you see what your have accomplished in the passing year!
