Step 1
Christmas is one of the most celebrated Holidays and decorating is all part of the Christmas Tradition. It can be a great deal of work putting up Christmas Lights and selecting and decorating the Christmas Tree, but it is well worth and it can look so beautiful. You want to make certain when you do take down your Holiday decor that you store every thing properly for the next year.

Step 2
Christmas Tree Lights can be delicate and easily broken. Make sure you save the original box when you purchased the Lights. You may want to wrap the lights together and place a rubber band around them, place them securely in its original boxes. In addition, if you have expensive Glass Ornaments you want to make sure you store them in an neat and orderly fashion. Again, it is best to store the Ornaments in its original box or container. if you don't have the original containers, you may want to consider wrapping the Ornaments with newspaper or Tin foil. I found that Tin Foil provides excellent protection for breakable items.

Step 3
Finally, if you have an artificial Christmas Tree, it is best to store all branches in a large box or large plastic container. Don't store Christmas Tree branches in bags. Storing tree branches in bags will run the risk of becoming bent and disfigured. As far as Garland is concerned. Unless it is a special type of Garland used, you may want to consider disregarding it and purchasing new for next year. Some safety tips, if you have a real Fireplace and plan on lighting it over the Holidays, don't hang your stocking too close to the flame. Happy Holidays!!
