Step 1
First, drink 1 gallon of water every day. Now, I know that you cant just start drinking that much water..you will pee every 5 minutes. The best way to go is to get a DASANI one liter water bottle and drink 1 of those a day for a week. The next week, drink two 1 liters a day. The next week, drink 3 1 liter bottles a day. The fourth week, drink 4 1 liter bottles a day. A gallon is 3.72 gallons; at 4 a day, you will be drinking a little more than a gallon a day. Going at this rate, your body becomes accustomed to the new intake of water.

Step 2
Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day instead of 3. The reason being; you want to constantly give your body food to use for energy. If you body is not using food for energy, it is going to use your muscle mass for energy. {When your body used muscle mass for energy, it allows fat to redeposit in its place}. If you eat 5 to 6 small meals, you are constantly feeding your body nutrients on a consistent level all during the day. You want to be a GRAZER and not a GOURGER. A horse constantly eats all day, but small amounts. Small animals, such as cats and dogs, can get fat because they eat when their owners give them food, and they eat usually as much as you put out there because they don't know when they will eat next. We don't have that problem. Remember, be a grazer.

Step 3
Take VITAMINS!! They are crucial because most humans are unable to consume the amount of daily nutrition they need. In my opinion, the most crucial are : Fish oil {omega 3}, Vitamin C, Cayenne Pepper, Omega 6 and 9, Calcium.. of course, this is different for each person. A person working out will need different supplements. A great company for vitamins is ADVOCARE. I lost 100 pounds with their products. They are a Christian based company who is freely endorsed by MANY athletes. Check them out!

Step 4
During your meals, you portion control instead of calories. NEVER just grab a bag of chips and just start eating. If you want to have chips, get a bowl and put some chips in there and eat just those. You do not want to have the temptation that a "never ending" cycle of food is there. Most of appetite is psychological. Also, if you are out to dinner, when you get your food, tell the waiter to put half of your food in a to-go box for you. Again, you are limiting your portions.
-
Step 5
Eating 5 to 6 small meals a day also increases your metabolism. Metabolism is how long it takes your body to break down food and convert into glucose {sugar and then converted for energy} If you eat something at 9 in the morning, and you are not hungry until 3 that afternoon, your metabolism is slow because it has taken 6 hours to break it down. You can tell your metabolism is getting faster when you start getting hungry quicker after meals.
