A Goofy and Minnie party isn't complete without cupcakes

Disney characters are popular, but when it comes to having a Disney character birthday party, ready-made birthday supplies are fairly limited. This is mainly due to the stringent merchandising of Disney items. If your kids are like mine, they'll want a party with some of the lesser known Disney characters -- mine wanted a Goofy & Minnie party. So, here's how to do it for a 3-year old's party.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

Minnie poster
Black self-adhesive felt
Crayons
Mickey Mouse cookie cutter
Cupcakes
Vanilla frosting
Food die
Dried fruit sticks

Step 1

A Minnie Mouse Poster Makes for an Easy Game of

Game Idea - Pin the Nose on Minnie. Buy a Minnie Mouse poster online. Cut black self-adhesive felt into "noses."
Step 2

Activity #1 - Coloring Pages. Go to Free Coloring Pages online (www.coloring-book.info/)and download specific Goofy and Minnie pages you want. Spread these out a table along with crayons and let them color.
Step 3

Let them make their own Minnie-shaped cookies

Activity #2 - Decorate Minnie-shaped cookies. Make cookies ahead of time and let the kids frost and decorate their own cookies
Step 4

Make Minnie-shaped sandwiches

Food - Minnie-shaped sandwiches. Simple PB&J or ham and cheese will do.
Step 5

Cupcakes - Make Minnie cupcakes with strawberry or pink-tinted vanilla frosting. Top with two Oreo cookies for ears and add a small bow made from licorice. Make Goofy cupcakes with orange-tinted vanilla frosting. Make his hat with green-tinted frosting. Add ears using by cutting Goofy ears from dried fruit sticks.

Make simple Goofy hats
