Instructions

    • 1

Place a cold damp rag over the spill as soon as it occurs, and soak up as much of the Kool-Aid as possible. Use cold water because it prevents the stain from settling into the carpet; heat will cause the stain to stay in the carpet.

    • 2

Press down on the carpet with the damp rag; do not rub the fabric across the spill, as this can cause it to sink further into the carpet. Push down on the spill to pull the Kool-Aid out.

    • 3

Mix cold water and dish soap in a bowl and use it to gently clean the stain. Press down on the Kool-Aid with a clean rag dipped in the soapy water. Remove as much of the stain as possible.

    • 4

Dip a white rag into the soap and water and place it on top of the stain. Set your iron on its lowest setting and sit it on top of the stain.

    • 5

Allow the iron to sit on the stain. Pick it up and check the rag every 60 seconds. When the stain is transferred to the rag, remove the cloth and the iron.

    • 6

Repeat Steps 4 and 5 until the stain has been lifted from the carpet.
