1. Expand the legs on the tripod base of a standard photography mount. The legs should sit at a 30-degree angle to the floor. This provides support for the light, and the wide angle provides stability.

2. Find the stand mount bracket that is included with the Powerlight and thread it through the hole at the bottom of the light. Tighten them together using the provided screw.

3. Thread the newly fastened light and bracket onto the stand.

4. Fasten the stand and bracket together using the tightening screw on the side of the bracket. Make it tight, but be careful not to overdo it, because you run the risk of denting or bending the stand.

5. Adjust the angle of the light and plug it in.
