Making soap balls is a quick, fun activity. They make great decorations for your bathroom, wonderful soap for bathing and fantastic gifts for your friends.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • glycerin soap
  • essential oils
  • soap coloring agent
  • grater
  • microwavable bowl
  1. Step 1
    Put it in a bowl
     
    Put it in a bowl

    Making soap balls doesn't have to be a lengthy process! Take your grater and grate the glycerin soap into the microwavable bowl. Add a few drops of a soap coloring agent. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.

  2. Step 2
    Add the essential oils
     
    Add the essential oils

    Put the grated soap into the microwave for close to thirty seconds. Check it to see if a foam is forming on the soap. If not, continue microwaving a few seconds at a time until the foam does form. Add a few drops of a essential oils to the mixture and stir it in.

  3. Step 3
    Let it cool!
     
    Let it cool!

    Let the soap start to cool. Once it is not too hot to handle, scoop it out and roll it into balls. Let it cool a few more minutes and smooth out the surface of the ball.

  4. Step 4

    Set the soap balls aside for two or three days. When there is no moisture left, they are done. Put them in a basket and set them on the bathroom counter top.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you don't have coloring agents meant for soap, use regular food coloring.
  • You can also use scraps from the ends of soap bars. Save them until you have enough to use.
