Things You'll Need:
- Screwdriver
- Channel locks or pliers
- New toilet seat

Step 1
Close the old toilet seat that you want to be replaced. On the back portion of the seat, there are two caps that cover the bolt tops. Use the screwdriver to flip open these caps.

Unscrew the bolts holding the seat one by one by using a screwdriver on the top while using the channel locks or pliers holding the nut on the bottom.

Step 3
Take the old seat out and clean the surface of the toilet bowl.

Step 4
Remove the new seat from the packaging including the nuts and bolts.

Step 5
Open the caps of the new seat using a screwdriver.

Step 6
Place the new seat on top of the toilet bowl. Attach the bolts into the holes of the toilet seat and bowl.

Step 7
Tighten the bolt on the top using a screwdriver while holding the nut on the bottom with a channel locks or screwdriver. Do the same to the other side.

Step 8
Close the caps covering the bolt tops.

Step 9
You are done changing your toilet seat. Enjoy your new seat!
