Instructions

    • 1

Begin by drawing the basic frame. Draw an oval for the head and two squashed ovals for the shoulders. Add a helmet guideline with a cone on top of the knight's head. Draw a line across the left side of the head oval to mark where the eyes will go.

    • 2

Add details to the frame. Complete the helmet with a curved line swooping down the side of the face. Add a "J" shaped line on the side of the face for the chain mail hood guideline. Add a nose with bent "L" shape to the left side of the face.

    • 3

Begin fleshing out the details. Draw the eyes with small triangular shapes surrounding a small oval. Add the eyebrows with a long, thin triangular shape above the eyes. Create the mustache with a flared umbrella shape under the nose.

    • 4

Erase the guidelines and begin adding the final details. Add a ridge along the helmet with a broken parallel line. Add the mouth with a line under the mustache. Add the buttons for the cape with two small circles by the shoulders. Create the cape by splitting the shoulders into three sections on each shoulder.

    • 5

Ink the entire drawing. Let the ink dry. Erase all of the pencil. Add the chain mail with alternate "s" lines going up and down and side to side on the chain mail hood. Now you have your very own noble knight in shinning armor. Hang him on your wall to protect your room from evil doers!
