   Phone features could slow you down.Avoid having all the bells and whistles on your phone,such as call waiting and call back features.These can slow down your phones redial function.Also listen to the radio midday when most people are at work and kids are at school,or late at night during the week,you will have less competition when trying to get through to a radio station.

3. Use several radios and listen to more than one radio station so that You can monitor several stations at one time.Call your local stations and find out what months are sweep months,chances are they will be running several contests during that period.Invest in some trivia books and study them so that you already know or are prepared to quickly look up an answer to questions they may ask.
