Things You'll Need:
- Warm, soft blanket
-
Step 1
The first and most important ingredient for a cozy night of cuddling is a soft, preferably worn, blanket. It's even better if you have more than one, especially if it's an especially cold night or you are in desperate need of some relaxation. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes that are also nice and worn to fit your body. Bring a warm cup of tea or hot cocoa to your side table or nightstand, and you'll be set for the night.
-
Step 2
Now, a cuddle partner is always a great asset on cold winter nights. You can cuddle with your spouse, partner, dog, cat, friend or a nice fluffy pillow. Pets are master cuddlers and can often nudge you into just the right position to pet them. Petting your furry friend is also proven to lower your blood pressure, which is a definite plus, besides making your pet's day.
-
Step 3
Set a mood of warmth with some candles and soft music. You can also pick up your favorite book or some entertaining short stories or meditations. Cuddling is a flexible activity so you can decide what fits your mood. If it's sleep you're after, let a peaceful soundtrack lull you to lala land and forget the book for tonight.
-
Step 4
Make sure to create a nice, tunnel-like cave in your covers to keep your body warmth in and shut out the world. Now, relax and let your worries float away.
