How to Lose Weight Without Dieting

Many people try to lose weight and fail. The reason that they fail at losing weight is that they go on a diet. A diet is when you substantially change what you eat to lose weight. This does work when it comes to weight loss, but it is not a good overall strategy. When you are dieting, you often feel like you are depriving yourself of the things that you want. The longer this feeling that you are depriving yourself builds the more likely that it will fail. Do not worry; you can lose weight without dieting.

  1. Step 1

    Listen to your body. This is one of the things that most people do not do. To lose weight, you need to know the signs of hunger that your body gives out. When you can tell the first signs of hunger, then you will be able to eat the right way to see weight loss results. You also need to know when you are full. Many people have stopped listening to their body when it comes to hunger; today is the day to change that.

  2. Step 2

    Eat when you are hungry. This may seem too simple to work but it does work to help you to lose weight. When you feel the first signs of hunger, go and get something to eat. You can eat whatever you want as long as you only eat when you are hungry.

  3. Step 3

    Stop eating when you feel full. This is not when you feel full and bloated. Many people make the mistake of eating until they feel that type of full. You need to pay attention when you eat. As soon as you feel the hunger go away stop eating to lose weight. The feeling of being full will usually come a few minutes later. This is how you lose weight and keep it off.

  4. Step 4

    Avoid emotional eating. There are people who drown their worries and depression with food. Do not do this if you want to lose weight. If you feel like your emotions are taking over, step away from any food that may be around. Go out for a walk instead to clear your mind so that you can tell if you are really hungry.
