The tournament of Roses holds it's annual Rose Bowl Parade every year in Pasadena, California. This amazing parade is an amazing sight that highlights Rose Bowl Parade Floats completely covered in flowers. Locals as well as out of town guests gather at 8am on January 1st to see this amazing parade. If you are looking to get to the Rose Bowl Parade, but want to avoid the traffic, here's how!

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Simply put, catch the Gold Line from Downtown Los Angeles right to the Parade route. This light rail goes right by the parade route and stops only two blocks from the route. Since thousands of people take the train, you won't be surprised to see lots of folks. Don't worry though, MTA runs extra trains so you can get to the Rose Bowl Parade quickly! Check the MTA website (in resource box) for exact times

  2. Step 2

    Ride the bus to the Rose Bowl Parade. There are several dozen bus routes that drive through the area which you can catch and totally avoid the traffic. Find the routes that suite you best by checking the Metro Bus Schedule for holidays.

  3. Step 3

    Carpool to the Rose Bowl Parade. If you have friends going and have decided to yourself, consider going in the same car. You definitely will be stuck in some traffic, so go early, but you will find your stress low as someone else is driving. Do note, you will need to park at least 8 to 12 blocks away from the parade route as locals camp out closer arriving the night before.

  4. Step 4

    If you are coming from out of town, consider staying at the local Pasadena hotels. Most of the hotels offer a free shuttle, before and after the parade, as part of a Rose Bowl package.
