Things You'll Need:
- A measurment of your area, Height and width. It's a good idea to have the height and width of the space you have avaiable for the tree you pick.
-
Step 1
Know your display space and or height, the less you have to cut off your purchased tree the better, less work for yourself. Make sure your tree don't look crowded and or smashed against your wall. You should have an idea of what size will fit before you shop for your tree.

Step 2
Your tree could end up looking like Charlie Browns by the end of christmas! When your picking out your tree you should, do a needle check, the green needles should break crispy when bent. Pine needles shouldn bend when they are fresh and you can tell by the color and the feel of the needles. There is nothing whorse then having a dry tree in your home. For example : your 3 year old child runs by the tree on their way to give you a hug and 1800 needles fall from your tree as they run by, well thats just not right, and believe me it just makes a big ol' mess.
Keeping your tree watered will reduce needle loss....

Step 3
Checking for dryness, look for brown needles and or a musty odor, you can slightly pick the tree up and slightly shake and slightly drop and if you see to many needles fall to the ground you should move on to the next tree and repeat the tree check.
