Making fake skin
Making fake skin

Fake skin can be used for costumes as well as for the theatre. Whether you enjoy performing or dressing up, fake skin can help you achieve any skin tone or texture.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • flour
  • room temperature water
  • elmer's glue
  • cosmetic makeup (liquid foundation)
  • a bowl
  1. Step 1

In a bowl add 10 tablespoons of warm water. Warm water will help the flour mix.

  2. Step 2

Next add 16 tablespoons of flour. Remember you want the mixture to be thick and not watery. If too watery, simply add more water, one tablespoon at a time.

  3. Step 3

If you want to add the mixture to a part of your body, simply add a little elmer's glue to the mixture after it has been mixed.

  4. Step 4

Mold the mixture with the glue to conform to the part of the body you want to apply it to.

  5. Step 5

After applying to the desired area, let dry. It may take a few minutes before drying takes place.

  6. Step 6

Apply makeup to the fake skin and blend in.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not add the makeup into the mixture.
  • Do not add too much water to the flour mixture.
