Cran-Sake Cocktail

Refreshing, light, and sweet. Sake cocktails are becoming a popular hit world-wide. Made from traditional Japanese rice wine, cold Sake is a great drink mixer. Here's how to make a Cran-Sake Cocktail for your next party:

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sake
  • Cranberry Juice
  • Lime wedge
  • Sprite
  • Cocktail shaker with ice.

Into the shaker pour 3 jiggers of chilled sake (a jigger is 1 1/2 ounces), 1 jigger of fresh cranberry juice, and one squeezed wedge of lime. I like Momokowa Sake, especially the "Pearl". Momokowa Pearl is the sweetest, making for great fruity cocktails, and it's unfiltered with excellent flavor.

  2. Step 2

Shake-shake-shake the cocktail and strain into a Martini glass or some other attractive glass with a stem. This cocktail could also be served in a highball glass, but stemware looks so much more elegant.

  3. Step 3

Top the glass off with Sprite (or 7up if you prefer) to give the drink a little sparkle. Garnish with a lime wedge. Serve this chilled cocktail to all of your guests.

Tips & Warnings
  • An original created by me.
  • 21+ please.
  • Sake flavors should be complimented by your drink mixers, the Sake taste should never be overpowered.
