How to Make Sweet Poppy Seed and Apple Salad

If you're in the mood for a sweet healthy salad, then I recommend making the sweet poppy seed and apple salad. You can substitute other fruit such as: pears, cranberries, raisins, or strawberries. This is a light and refreshing salad that you can pair with pizza or eat alone.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Salad Ingredients:
  • Romaine lettuce
  • Feta cheese
  • Apples
  • Walnuts
  • Poppy Seed Dressing
  • 1 C sugar
  • 2 t. dry mustard
  • 2 t, salt
  • 1/2 t. dried onion or 1/4 C raw
  • 1 1/4 C cider vinegar
  • 3 1/3 C canola oil
  • 4 t. poppy seeds
  1. Step 1

    Blend the following ingredients and then chill in refrigerator while preparing the other ingredients for the salad
    1 cup of sugar
    2 teaspoons of dry mustard
    2 teaspoons of salt
    1/2 teaspoons of dried onion or 1/4 cup of raw
    1 1/4 cup of cider vinegar
    3 1/3 cup of canola oil
    4 teaspoons of poppy seeds

  2. Step 2

    Wash and dry romaine lettuce. Once dry, chop up romaine lettuce and place in a bowl

  3. Step 3

    Clean and core apples. Once dry chop up apples to place in bowl

  4. Step 4

    Mix in 1/3 cup of feta cheese

  5. Step 5

    Mix in a 1/4 cup of walnuts

  6. Step 6

    Once the salad dressing is chilled pour on salad for a refreshing meal
