Step 1
First, open Microsoft Outlook Express. If there is not an icon on your desktop, simply click on Start, then click on Programs (or All Programs, depending on your configuration). It should appear on this list. If the list is very short, you likely have what is called "Personalized Menus" enabled. If this is the case, simply click on the down arrow at the bottom to display the entire list.
-
Step 2
You will begin in the main identity of Microsoft Outlook Express. To access the menu to create and manage additional identities, click on "File" on the toolbar, then move your cursor down to "Identities."
-
Step 3
Click on "Manage Identities."
-
Step 4
Click on "New."
-
Step 5
Type in the name by which you would like to refer to the new identity. A good suggestion for this would be the email address it refers to.
-
Step 6
If you would like to password-protect this new identity, simple check the box next to "Require a Password."
-
Step 7
If you choose to set a password, type in the password you would like to use in the "New Password" box. Type it in again in the "Confirm Password" box. When you are done, click "OK."
-
Step 8
Click "OK" to complete the setup of the new identity. Outlook Express will now ask if you wish to switch to this new identity. To continue and set up your new email address, simply click "Yes."
-
Step 9
Outlook Express will now transfer you to your new identity. Simply set up your new email address just as you did in your original identity and you are finished.
