Have Car Theft Protection
Have Car Theft Protection

An experienced car thief can steal your car in less than a minute. It is paramount that an individual understand various ways to protect their property. There is no way to prevent your car from being stolen 100% but there are ways to minimize theft.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Anti theft devices is a great way to prevent theft. These devices actually deter about 70% of all vehicle theft. To protect you self dont leave your doors unlocked when leaving the vehicle unintended. Try to get reinforcers for your ignition locks that disable your steering or your transmission.

  2. Step 2

Another way to have car theft protection is to watch where you park your vehicle. When parking at night park in a well lit heavily trafficked area. Don't park in the last space at the end of your street. A professional thief can easily tow your vehicle away if you do park at the end of a street. If you do park at the end of the block turn your steering wheel to one side, so that it locks the steering column to prevent car from being towed from the rear.

  3. Step 3

Do not rely on your factory alarm systems in your vehicle. Car thieves can pick up manuals for your vehicle at the library. Try to use a combination of alarms. A great alarm to use is a alarm with an ignition cutoff switch hidden under the dashboard of your vehicle. Try to replace your standard door lock buttons in your vehicle with tapered ones.
