Instructions
Things You'll Need:
- Mod Podge
- Ornament
- File or sandpaper
- Decorative paper
- Sponge or paint brush
-
1
SuppliesGather your supplies. Mod Podge and ornaments for decorating are available at most craft stores. You will also need a file or piece of sandpaper, a sponge and decorative paper. Wrapping paper works, too! In this example I used origami paper (also available at many craft stores.)
-
2
Apply Mod Podge to OrnamentUsing your sponge, spread the Mod Podge evenly over the top of the ornament.
-
3
Applying PaperCut a piece of paper slightly larger than your ornament. Place paper over ornament and smooth so that you do not have any bubbles.
-
4
Allow to dry for one half to one hour at least.
-
5
Remove Excess PaperGently file the edges of the ornament to remove the excess paper. This will give you nice, clean edges.
-
6
Top Layer of Mod PodgeApply another layer of Mod Podge on top of the paper and on the sides of the ornament. Don't worry, it will dry clear! Allow to dry completely and apply a second coat if desired.
