most often, forgiving ourselves is more difficult than forgiving others. we put the blame on ourselves especially if the one we hurt is someone that we love and treasure very much more than ourselves.

    1. recognize your fault. before you can forgive yourself and even others, it is good to recognize that somewhere, there was fault.

  2. Step 2

    2. acknowledge your imperfections. human as we are, we are prone to commit mistakes.
    3. learn from your mistakes. experiences, as they say, are our best teachers. Let us make our mistakes as our best teachers not to do the same again.

    4. you are not all mistake. tell yourself that you are not all a mistake. you are created basically good. your mistakes are just an occasion of accepting the fact that you are not yet a saint therefore capable of making mistakes.
    5. you are saint in the process. it is good to know that while we are still on earth, we are in the process of making ourselves as saints. at times. it is inevitable that we commit mistakes.
    6. forgive yourself. there is no other way to heal the pain one experiences than to forgive himself/herself. Befriend yourself because there is no other who will do it for you.

  • remember: you would not become a friend to others if you will not become a friend to yourself.
  • forgive yourself and make friend to yourself.
  • there is no other way to make friend of yourself than to forgive whatever shortcomings it has created or commited.
