Do you celebrate the Chinese New Year holiday? If you do, do you make any crafts in relation to the holiday? Chinese New Year greeting cards are some of the best crafts to make on your own. While there are plenty of Chinese New Year's cards sold in the store, you can make your own with little or less than no money.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Red Construction paper
  • Chinese Character for Ox
  • Glitter
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Printer
  1. Step 1

The first step you will need to take is to do some research and find the symbol for "Ox" in Chinese characters. Once you've found the symbol, paste it into a paint program such as Photoshop or Picture Studio so you may enlarge it. Make sure you enlarge it to the exact size you want, this will be fitting either in the inside of the card or on the front, wherever you decided.

  2. Step 2

Once you have the image enlarged, proceed to print it out and set it to the side. In the meantime, get your piece of construction paper and fold it in half vertically. Make sure you have a deep crease in the paper so that it doesn't flap back open.

  3. Step 3

Next you have to decide where you want to put your Character symbol. If putting on the front of the card, trim it so it looks professional and paste it. If putting it in the inside of the card do the same steps but paste it slightly either to the left or right side.

  4. Step 4

Take your glue next and spell out whatever words you want on the front of the card. Make sure not to use a glue stick as it doesn't put out enough glue. Once you have your letters traced out in glue, quickly add your glitter before it dries. Turn the card back and forth to shift the glitter around on the card. Wait until it dries, then you're done!
