More and more people are having a hard time falling asleep and/or staying asleep during the night. After a long day, you would think there would not be a problem falling asleep, but many do. There are measures you could take, naturally, no sleeping pills that could help.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lavender Aromatherapy Pillow Mist
  • Chamomile or any decaf tea
  • comfortable pajamas
  • nature cds (optional)
  1. Step 1

So you have had a long day and evening time has rolled around and you are worrying that you'll have another sleepless night. There are measures you could take to give yourself a better chance at falling and staying asleep through the night. Now I'm not talking about sleeping pills that can make you feel like a zombie the next day. I'm talking about natural remedies.

  2. Step 2

First, skip the large dinner and coffee in the evening. Don't get me wrong, coffee is great and it definitely wakes you up in the morning. However, after dinner in the evening, it is best to have a cup of chamomile or any other decaffeinated warm beverage that will not keep you up. Spray your pillow with a light mist such as lavender or black chamomile. Aroma therapy works wonders on the senses and helps you to relax. Clear your mind of everything. Now is not the time to worry or think about anything. Clear your head and relax.

  3. Step 3

Put on comfortable pajamas, nothing constrictive. If you are married or living with someone, ask them to give you a massage before bed. This relaxes your muscles and eases your mind. Finally, if you have an mp3 player or any music player, listen to nature sounds such as rain, the ocean, the rainforest, waves, these sounds are amazing at letting your mind drift and before you know it, you'll be in dreamland.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't consume caffeine before bed
  • Don't exercise before bed
  • Don't over stimulate your mind or body before bed
  • Chamomile or warm milk work wonders at putting one to sleep
