Follow this guide to downloading any old Nintendo 64 game you want, providing that you own the original copy and are making a backup. Otherwise, downloading these games is piracy.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The first thing you will need to play n64 games on your computer is a Nintendo 64 emulator. Emulators are available online, but you must be careful which one you select. Some emulators work just fine, but are really just agents for spyware to infect your computer. The emulator I would suggest is Project64. It is free and reliable.

  2. Step 2

The games that you want to download will come in the form of ROMS. Roms are played by emulators on computers. Typically, for n64 games, the roms should be no larger than a few megabytes, so be wary if you are downloading files that are much larger. They could be viruses.

  3. Step 3

Make a folder for all your downloaded roms and put the files into this folder. When you start Project64 or your chosen emulator, set the file path for roms to the folder you created. This way, you will never have to search through lots of files to find your favorite games.
