You probably want to have a lot of wordpress comments on your blog. you want people talking about your blog & on your blog. It can motivate you to keep writing & makes your blog seem more reputable.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Login to your wordpress account.

  2. Step 2

    Click on Settings.

  3. Step 3

    Choose the Discussion tab.

  4. Step 4

One of the very first things you should do when you start your blog is set who can comment on your blog. If your comments aren't moderated your blog can be filled with spam or rude & inappropriate comments.

  5. Step 5

To stay on top of your blog, have wordpress automatically email you whenever someone leaves a comment. You can even opt to have comments only appear after you approve them.

  6. Step 6

To give your blog a fun look you can automatically assign avatars to randomly appear with any comment. These can look like quilt squares or cartoon characters or be your reader's gravatar. Just make sure that whatever you use won't offend any of your readers if the avatar is randomly assigned to them.

  7. Step 7

You can choose what comments appear on your blog by going to the comments tab. Here you can see the comments that you haven't moderated yet & you can mark them as spam or approve them. You can even strip out any links that your readers leave.
