How to Plan a Party with a Hollywood Theme
Hollywood is a glamorous world filled with celebrities and a life of luxury. Throwing a Hollywood-themed party is one way to make yourself and your friends feel like stars for an evening, and dressing up like stars can only add to the Hollywood feel. Trace and cut out yellow stars from construction paper to make Hollywood star-themed invites. Write each guest's name on the front using gold pen to emulate the look of the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On the back, include when and where the party is taking place, along with a request for the guests to dress as their favorite celebrity.

Plan for food with a glamorous Hollywood twist. Have bite-sized appetizers and serve them on trays that look like production clapboards or cut out stars from gold wax paper and line serving trays with them. Serve movie popcorn in red-and-white-striped bowls. Champagne can add to the glamour -- or if it is a children's party, sparkling cider works, too. A cake shaped like a Hollywood award such as an Oscar is another festive idea.

Put up some star-themed decorations. Stick with gold-and-black decor for Hollywood style. Hang gold and black streamers from the ceiling, along with gold stars. Adorn tables with black tablecloths and gold confetti. Fill top hats with gold-star garland as centerpieces, or you even use the hats as champagne bottle holders. Cut out all capital letters to spell "Hollywood" from white paper and make a banner to resemble the famous Hollywood sign. Buy a small roll of red fabric and line your entryway to look like the glamorous red carpet at a movie premiere.

Plan some star-studded games for your party. Hold a costume contest and have guests vote on their favorite celebrity costume and other categories such as funniest, most inventive or most convincing.
