How to Make Your Own Animation

You may need to make your own animation for a school project or a website or blog. Learning animation can be an expensive & time consuming process. Here is how to make an animation easily & for free.

Instructions

1. Download & install pivot animation software from the resource section. Pivot is a freeware program based on stick figures.

2. You can create your own figure, use the standard stick person, or download free pivot figures. If you create your own, make sure that the animal or person has a lot of joints for maximum movement.

3. Move the stick figures arm, then press next frame. Move the arm a little more. Click next frame. Slowly move the legs each frame to simulate walking.

4. Play the animation back to see it in normal time. Check the repeat box if you want to save time. It will make your animation seem longer without having to redo every frame.

5. Load in an original background to give your animation a custom look.

Tips & Warnings

• When you use someone elses animation or "sticks" be sure & give them credit at the end of your video.
